Just Be Careful Mama..

I CAME ACROSS THIS LAST NIGHT...I GUESS I ' LL START WEARING MY NEXT BABY ONCE HE REACHED 5 OR 6 MONTHS...

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is advising parents to be cautious when using infant slings for babies younger than four months. The CPSC has been researching incident reports over the past 20 years. They have identified 14 deaths associated with sling-style infant carriers.  Twelve of the deaths involved babies younger than four-months-old.
According to the CPSC, slings can pose two different types of suffocation hazards to babies. Young babies cannot yet hold their heads upright. because of this, the sling's fabric can press against the infant's nose and mouth, causing suffocation. In addition, the sling keeps the infant in a curled position. This can cause the airways to be restricted, limiting oxygen.
No recall has been issued, but parents, please be aware of these new recommendations.
